With limited resources and increasing complexity of manufacturing systems, supplier plug and play solutions are needed. This can be challenging because a PnP system must encompass plant floor hardware, networks, software, processes, etc. However, a PnP system can be accomplished with standards, supplier-to-supplier partnerships, and integration of systems from the plant floor to IT.
